Reports say a gang of professional safe robbers entered Shea's theatre on East Second Street and Everett's Racket Store Sunday morning in Jamestown. The safe at the theatre was blown and $80 in cash taken. a later attempt at Everett's was foiled, with no theft. Patrols investigated and found the safe combination knocked off and an open fuse. No suspects identified.
In Los Angeles on December 15 the defense questioned Albere A Mors husband of the dead Teresa Mors, alleging he is not ill and that prosecutors fear to put him on the stand. The probe followed claims that Mors may have been under surveillance after Teresa Mors death as the district attorney pursued McCoy. The McCoy defense contends the state avoids calling Mors because he could reveal a tale clearing Kid McCoy of blame.
