The USGA declares 150 sports celebrities including Yogi Berra Dick Butkus Hank Aaron and Tom Seaver as non pros in amateur golf. They may only compete in pro events against Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer or refuse prize money to stay amateur. The seventh annual two man event runs Feb 2 4 in Puerto Rico with $30000 in prizes.

Registration Planned For Rec Wrestling
The citys recreational wrestling program opens Saturday with registration at Corry Area High School from 9 30 a m to noon. Coaches Hy Daley and Dave Mitchell cite two eligibility rules: entrants must be at least nine by March 15 1973 and must be in elementary school. Daley hopes Sparta boys sign up and notes St Thomas School aims to field a team. Saturday practices run mornings through March ahead of Junior Olympics weekday sessions. Parents should accompany children to registration with sign up times listed for each location.

Bench Will Report for Spring Camp
Cincinnati Reds catcher Johnny Bench, 1972 NL MVP and 1970 MVP, is due to report for spring training in February while recovering from lung surgery. Doctors removed a benign lesion, no rib or back muscle removal required, and he will stay in hospital about six more days per team physician.
