A boy named Charles Lewis of Jersey City was shot and killed last night on a Public Service bus on the Bick Horse Pike near Turnerville in Clowestyr County. Police said the gun went off accidentally while being passed between youths. witnesses say the shot came from inside the bus.
The Pennsylvania Milk Control Commission approved a price increase effective December 16, raising quarts by one cent and half-pints by two cents under a new price index. Butter and cottage cheese stay unchanged. One-third quart bottles will be introduced but not yet sold locally, as rail shipments are not in place. London obituary notes English actor Harcourt Williams has died aged 72. She appeared in more than 200 plays and was acclaimed as a leading character actor of the English Classical Theatre. The report states she died yesterday.
Nassau County Judge suspends 5 to 15 year sentence for Janie Roswene 43 in the killing of her two sons aged 8 and 7 after she fed sleeping pills then attempted suicide. She remained in a wheelchair as the judge spoke of remorse. The husband was overseas on a flight when police found the children dead and the mother comatose.
