In 1974 only 3 percent of Pennsylvania high school football teams finished undefeated and untied among 592 schools. The list of 20 perfect or near perfect teams includes Pennsbury 11-0, Red Lion 11-0, Gateway 11-0-1, and Upper St. Clair 10-0-1, with districts 1, 3, 6, 7 and 10 all contributing several clubs.
