Union City man dies by carbon monoxide in garage

Walter Bimith a 52 year old Union City resident and church worker was found dead in his garage from carbon monoxide poisoning. A note to his wife and a letter to the Baptist church pastor announced his intent to take his life. He left behind a widow and was employed at Union Guy Chase Company.

Christmas Seal Campaign Pushed In City By Local Clubs

J Kenneth Winter executive secretary of the Anti Tuberculosis Society visits the city to promote the Christmas Seal drive. The Erie Anti Tuberculosis Society endorses the effort, with the Business and Professional Women’s Club guiding sales aided by Rotary and Kiwanis. Woman Named $20 000 Insurance Award in Howe Case

A Pittsburgh jury awarded Mrs Lenora Howe of Bratton Pa $20000 in insurance money from National Life Insurance Association of Des Moines Iowa for the death of her husband Willard Howe.
