Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bracken Keating chapel for 5 A Lyons aged resident of Beaverdam who died Monday morning. Rev Gilbert L Boyd of the Presbyterian church conducted the ceremony with interment at Beaverdam Cemetery. pallbearers included A J Sandburg Myron Reynolds J D Pullom Henry Bachomer Meile Reynolds and Butch Gordon. County Officials to Rename Staff at Erie Reorganization
Appointees under county commissioners are to be renamed Erie employees at the annual reorganization meeting on January 6. Dell Darling is expected to be elected chairman, replacing Helen Schlura who served this year. No changes to appointed staff are planned.

Laub to Oppose Hullig Appeal in Erie Case
Erie District Attorney Burton said Fr Laub will oppose Hullig’s petition for sentence commutation. Hullig, convicted of auto theft and sentenced in 1938 to two to four years, claimed he was kidnapped in Sandusky Ohio and returned to Erie but did not raise the claim in the appeal.
