Sources say the reorganization would swell the Guard by about 150000 from the organized Army Reserve and add 150000 reservists to form a pool totaling roughly 450000. The plan cuts overall drill-pay strength to about 500000 while creating 21 high priority brigades and restructuring eight divisions.
