A 15 year old boy in Sheridan confessed to authorities that he harbored a grudge against 27 year old Miss Winsae Carter, the Sheridan High School teacher, claiming she insulted him in fifth grade. Investigators found Carter's body in her automobile after a Sunday afternoon incident described as a deadly confrontation. The youth maintained throughout the confession that she was not the aggressor.
A resolution from the Inter-American conference on conciliation and arbitration urged Bolivia and Paraguay to resolve their differences peacefully. Introduced by Victor Millartin of Peru, the plan calls for a coalition to cooperate with powers and pursue a peaceful settlement under international law. United Press reports the liner Celtic ran aground off Queenstown Ireland during a gale.
