Local Man Markets New Boat Muffler
Hubert Vaughn of Corry Instrument Co announces a muffler for marine engines that silences exhaust noise with minimal back pressure. The patent was granted by the U S Bureau of Patents. The device uses vertically arranged vanes in alternating directions to create a fog like mix of water and exhaust that dampens sound. A downwardly inclined ring option reduces fog without further noise drop. It can be fitted to new or used boats despite a small back pressure increase.
