Polio Shot Plan Is Unchanged
A special advisory group reaffirmed continuing the current polio vaccination schedule for youths. Surgeon General Leonard A Scheele announced the decision after a daylong conference with medical representatives and the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis. The group agreed to maintain the existing multi shot approach, citing insufficient evidence to justify changing to a single dose regime.
