In Harrisburg AP report Kane in McKean County recorded the lowest pollen index among 36 areas, while Uniontown posted the highest at 56. Statewide average was 21 for the hay fever season Aug 1 to Sept 30, with several counties showing low readings and Kane noting a long term control program for ragweed.
