Three officials of Resthaven Memorial Park company were arrested in Meadville on charges of violating the Pennsylvania security code and conspiracy in a cemetery sales racket. Jauveate S. Kemp Latronze S. Sieg and F. Eusyin Ways pleaded not guilty and were remanded to county prison in bail of 5000 each. A further charge involves a local woman who allegedly turned over 12732.34 for 81 cemetery lots. additional actions may follow in Warren and Erie counties.
Elton H Blair of Union Gily is named new chairman of the county commissioners at the January 3 reorganization in Evie. He succeeds Thomas W Flatley and follows Helen M Schluraf in the chair. Other boards such as salary, prison, sinking fund, and election boards will also reorganize.
H W Steber burgess and longtime director joins Warren Bank and Trust Co in its trust department while selling the FA Steber Co brands to Tunis Johnson Cigar Co of Grand Rapids. Manufacturing will shift to Grand Rapids but distribution through existing jobbers remains unchanged.
