Attorneys Seek Earnings Data in Pennsylvania Gas Case
Yesterday at Erle Attorney G Kincaid representing the City Commission and the Board of Commerce discussed plans for a new appeal and defensive motion when the Public Service Commission hearing on Pennsylvania Gas Company rate increases opens in December. The group aims to demand an engineering conference to value the company’s property and holdings and to compel production of books showing earnings. Subpoenas will be issued to officials to obtain accurate earnings data, with emphasis on the firm’s percentage compared to property values. The case will determine whether the company can raise rates this winter and anticipates a Superior Court review if the appeal proceeds.
