Life Saving Crew Battles All Night at Erie
Life saving crew from the Erie station battled Lake Erie waves throughout the night. The Eagle of Dunkirk tugboat ran aground two miles east of the station Monday night and called for help. Crew fought to the strand and towed the tug back to deep water before continuing to its destination. Captain Chapman of the Buffalo station inspected the local crew, praising their drill despite freezing conditions.
