Murder trial begins for Bedford woman
A jury selection started today in Bedford to try Cleo Mellott 31 on murder charges for the May 25 fatal shooting of neighbor Mia Charlotte Geiger 20 in the hallway of Mellott’s apartment. State Police testimony outlined the fatal dispute over a man and a confrontation that led to the shooting. District Attorney Paul A. Koonter led the Commonwealth case. defense is Richard C. Snyder. The trial is before President Judge J. Calvin Wright.
