United Press reports James F. Hath a 20 year old musician from the naval aircraft carrier Lexington admitted writing extortion letters to Ginger Rogers. He fled and confessed demanding eighty thousand dollars or a threat of kidnapping and death. The first letter was sent November 27 from a studio and named Virginia Rogers. The note demanded payment and threatened death for Ginger Rogers and her sister. a second letter dated December changed the payment date and location to Long Beach California.
