Jamestown School Bond Issue Loses at Ballot
Dec 5 voters in Jamestown rejected a bond plan to fund two new grade schools on the sites of Mechanic Street and Eighth Street campuses. About 2,000 votes were cast with 481 in favor and 14 against for land purchase and construction on Mechanic Street, and 806 in favor to 1,002 against for the Eighth Street project.
