Twelve year old walks around the world four times in Antarctica
In Canberra and on a U S diplomatic mission, 12 year old Bill Crook recounts walking around the South Pole four times. He describes the cold and big gear, the Christchurch to McMurdo journey, and the flagging of Shackleton’s and Scott’s routes as his diary details a high altitude, daylight expedition with his father U S ambassador William H. Crook, amid a tour of polar stations.
