In Whitten county hunting accident during the 1081 season Frank Donaldson, 48, of Barnes, died from a back wound after a gun misfire by Bills Fridley, 27, of Valencia. The fatal shot entered the back near the left kidney, injuring liver and bowels as Fridley stumbled while aiming at a deer. Coroner notified. Donaldson died en route to a Sheffield hospital. A second incident in Spartansburg left Dalton L. Weidner, 18, with a severe foot injury when a rifle discharged during deer hunting. he was treated at City Hospital.
The Prince of Wales was confined to his room by what The Daily Mail called a slight malaria attack. His illness remained unchanged at St James's Palace this morning and all engagements for today were canceled. Sir Stanley Hewett, one of the physicians who attended King George during his 1825 illness, visited the prince last night.
Helsinki crowds will decide by referendum on December 2 and 9 whether to continue modify or repeal Finland's 12 year prohibition law. Hugh Unlman, 60, of Clarendon Pa, was killed when Fay Olmsted, 45, of Clarendon, was injured as Olmsted’s truck crashed into a larger Akron truck near here. Olmsted was taken to Community Hospital with a crushed head. the oil field run involved a nitro glycerin load.

Altoona Pa Dec 3 The Brett building in the wholesale district was destroyed by fire today causing about 325000 in losses. The structure housed Feather’s Automobile Co Altoona Shirt Co factory owned by Samiel Brett and Altoona branch of Opperman Cigar Co. Twenty five automobiles and eight trucks of the Festber company burned. Adjacent buildings cracked by heat and the Berman Wholesale Co. house damaged by smoke and later.
United Press reports Harrisburg December 8 that House members opposing the compromise unemployment plan endorsed by Governor Pinchot and Senate leaders are organizing to defeat it. They may seek adjournment for ten days, forcing the governor to act within ten days on measures. after recess, strategy hinges on executive action and potential veto considerations.
United Press dispatches from Tokyo report Japan demanding modifications to the League of Nations plan for Manchuria settlement and submitting counter proposals on key points. The government rejects a time limit for withdrawal and neutral observers with troops. In Manchuria, General Honjo says Japanese forces will not move south if Chinese behave, wishing to return home before New Year.

If approved Penn-Ohio would surrender its Sharon to New Castle service. No through bus service exists now between Erie and New Castle.
