The Board of Education plans its regular organization meeting Monday evening. Newly elected director Mr Togora will assume duties, and Mrs Amidon will retire. Officers include President and Vice President with secretary and treasurer to be elected in July. The committee appointments may be announced and a subsequent meeting may follow.
The Thwumpers of this city anticipate the upcoming venison dinner at the State Armory. Commander Brown and Captain W Brown praised the unit’s turnout and readiness. Lieutenant Kruger of the U S Army inspected the organization Tuesday evening, highlighting its strong National Guard standing and local credit.
The club reveals plans for its fourth annual Christmas party at the State Armory on December 1. One hundred fifty invitations have been prepared for the event with features including a New Year segment and musical performances. Attendees will come from towns such as Tumestown, Union City, Titusville, and Trlo, with about 105 couples expected.

German forces entered Monastir on Thursday afternoon from Hore. Austrian flag now flies over Monastir as Greek town watchers report Allied troops advancing. The Greek, Turkish, and Serbian fronts reflect shifting control with Austrian symbols seen in the city.
Passports for additional members of the Ford policy party were issued by the State Department in Washington. Henry Ford and Judge and Mrs Tren Lindsey of Denver were named as members. The dispatch notes other arrivals and remarks about preparations for European travel and party cohesion.
