He and his wife and two children leave in January for the Philippine Islands to undertake medical missionary work. Nelson medical background includes Wheaton College and University of Buffalo Medical School graduation in 1946 and naval service since 1946.
Los Angeles December 1. Homes of film figures Robert Walker and Fanny Brice sold to liquidate their estates. Walker's Brentwood house fetched 47 500 to a rep of Harry Owens, Hawaiian orchestra leader. Brice's Westwood home sold to Jacob in Chicago for 65 000. Walker died August 28 aged 32 Brice died May 29 aged 59. Estates exceed 200 000.
The Meadvill e county court launches its new arbitration system for civil suits with the Henderson case. Mary E Henderson sues Lafayette Taxi Service over an auto accident dated November 4 1980 and the taxi company countersuit. Arbitrators Paul E Allen Dixon Andrews and George J Bureo hear testimony with cross examination. The decision can be appealed to the court if a party pays 75 arbitrator fees plus costs. Arbitrators will hear all civil cases seeking damages under 4000 except certain title cases.
Cedric Mortimer of New York and Sfred Kuhn of Sibson Pr. faced on a flat pipe charge after being picked up by detectives in Dauphin county. They planned to ship today to Mount Vernon authorities as details linked them to a jewelry shop burglary and auto theft in New York. The car had a smashed back window and a gunfire slug found inside. The Mount Vernon shop was robbed of about four thousand dollars in merchandise on November 17 and the suspect car is tied to a New York disappearance on November 27. The case, part of a broader calendar clearance effort, was not completed and expected to resume Monday.
Inspector Lawrence Maloney reports 22 boys and 10 girls, mostly 14 to 16, were taken in last night in Pittsburgh hill district during a gathering described as a drinking party. Seven youths over 14 were held for police court. the rest sent to juvenile court.
