Youth Admits Slaying Chum After Surrendering to Police
United Press reports Bronx District Attorney McGeehin says youth Pirie confessed after giving three conflicting statements. He allegedly robbed the victim, spent money for pool, a movie, and ice cream with three girlfriends before leading investigators to the scene. Police located him after a Sunday night surrender near his home.

Youth Suffers Fatal Injuries in Kane Suma Meet
A 19 year old Kane Suma worker, Irwin, died after a transfer cap accident at a Durant City plant. He suffered fatal abdominal injuries and died Saturday evening at 6:30 at Kane Suma hospital. Son of Mr and Mrs Wade Irwin of Redclyffe near Marienville, he had worked about a year and was well known locally. his funeral arrangements were pending after body preparation.
