Divers recovered the body of Chris Ine Denlock 40 of West Brownsville drowned on the towboat Asquippa of the Vesta Coal Company which overturned in 18 feet of water on the Ohio River. Missing are William Adkins 38 of Henderson WV and James Gorin 89 deck hand of Den 10 WV. Rescue work saved 20 aboard with John Weber credited for assisting.

Miss Catherine Gluser of Duquesne Pa was chosen as Miss Pennsylvania of the Elks at their annual state convention held at Conneaut Lake. The ceremony took place yesterday with local Elks noting her achievement and representa tion of the lodge.
The Journal corrects a Tuesday story misnaming TB Ix Thornton as the Sunny Suds Washer dealer. W C Merritt holds the agency in this city and nearby counties, also selling DuMory Coffield and A B C Spinney washers. He states Thornton was a former employee and not connected now.
Wilbur Nichols aged 8 and his brother Eni aged 9 of Alton Nichols Street were found unconscious in Finch apartments after their father and step mother left for work. Gas jets were turned on in the kitchen and a pipe in the upper bedroom removed. The younger boy died at Corry Hospital while the older remained critically ill. Police and investigators inspected the home and noted the gas fumes and a missing gas valve wrench.
