Beaver Gridders Looking Better And Better
Corry Area High School football coach Lou Hanna praised the Beavers after their second scrimmage against Wattsburg and Townville. Sophomores Paul Goodwill and Jim Dolan impressed on defense and offense, while quarterback候 Rod Burrows ran the team well. The Beavers’ backfield showed improved timing, and fullback Dan Taylor looked faster and more determined. The 1969 squad is set for a football clinic next Tuesday at Sheen Field or the gym if rain. Season tickets go on sale tonight at the Ritz Restaurant from 7 to 9 p.m. with a likely sellout ahead of the opening game versus Warren.
