From the Journal files dated August 28 1928 hundreds of Corry motorists head toward Wattsburg for the official opening of the Wattsburg Pair and a four day fair with local dealer exhibits. A convoy from Corry and Meadville touring Amsterdam New York suffered a near deadly crash yesterday injuring three women Mrs Perry Nichols Mrs Vic Wethie Hewitt and Mrs H L Raymond. Hewitt sustained three broken ribs Raymond was cut and bruised Nichols rode out the crash shaken but unharmed.
