George Wilbur, 49, of Bust Fourth Street Wilmington, is jailed charged with deliberately setting fire to his home to induce his wife to stay. Mrs. Wilbur said a quarrel preceded the blaze as she grabbed water and Ethel Spanken aided, while Wilbur claimed the match was dropped accidentally while lighting a pipe.
A missing person case on Lake Winnipenpaliee ends with the discovery of a drowned child named Mit Bich Boe, age ten, near Tintonb New York. Authorities state a police inquiry continues as divers search the area for clues and a potential suspect.
