Time capsule buries July editions in Erie County bicentennial tribute
Three Corry Evening Journal editions will be sealed in a seven foot capsule to be buried at the Old Customs House in Erie on Tuesday and opened in 2076. Carry Man Charged With Drunk Driving
Charles Huffman age 47 of 612 West Pleasant Street faces charges of driving while under the influence after a July 25 crash on Route 77 three miles west of Spring Creek. His station wagon carried 14 people including his wife Bonita and 12 children from Corry families. Corry Men Hurt In Accident Near King's Corners
Two Corry men were treated at Corry Memorial Hospital after a one car crash in Clymer Township New York. Driver David Sample, 19, suffered wrist lacerations and abrasions and was released. Passenger Richard Owens Jr., 21, sustained forehead and left hand abrasions and was released. Sample said a car turned into his lane causing him to lose control on gravel. The car crossed the road struck a sign post and rolled into a ditch, with extensive damage reported by sheriff officials.
