United Press reports an effort to free two Munhall women held after a coroner's jury directed grand jury action on a murder charge tied to a death of Steven Allas age 12. In Natchez Mississippi on August 23 a new confession absolved Téekard Dana and Miss Octavia Dockery in the death of spinster Surge Merrill. Deputy sheriffs announced the confession attributed to Emily Burns a single woman. Dana and Dockery were previously described as suspects and were fired at the time of the spinster's death.
Mrs Lottie R Thomas, 65, of Bradford Pa was killed in an automobile collision on the Southwestern Boulevard in Hamburg Erie County. Mrs May Peck of Albion N Y was reported dying in Litkenawini hospital, and Mrs Hthel Wilson of Bradford suffered a severe spinal injury. All were passengers in a car driven by Miss Ruth Christy 26 of Springboro Pa. Christy was bruised. The other car was driven by Isaac Lewis 71 of Akron Ohio. He suffered broken ribs and his wife a possible fractured skull.
