Franklin Pa August 22 A burglar tried to enter Mrs Watt's home while her husband was away. She hid her five children inside and kept a shotgun at the ready, driving off the intruder after five hours of suspense. The man lingered near the house all night, with Mrs Watt saying she believed she could have killed him but chose not to.
