Found Dead On School Steps in Meadvile
The body of Joseph Kumorer aged 40 was found early morning on the steps of the Second Ward school building in Meadvile. He had ingested carbolic acid and died for several hours. He had recently arrived in the city and had complained of ill health. he told a friend he felt worse the evening before. He had no local relatives, a winter resident in Wilkesbarre.
