Mrs Karl Krueger wife of the Kansas City Philharmonic conductor was critically wounded by a jealous man in Hollywood. Charles McDonald confessed to shooting her on Hollywood Boulevard while Krueger and his daughter faced threats. Police say McDonald followed the daughter and warned of killing her. Krueger, grieving, aided by blood transfusions as the condition of Mrs Krueger remained dangerous.
The 319 mile power line expansion is funded by a 357000 REA appropriation for the North western Rural Electric Co-Operative Association. GUsbate Fill of New York has been approved as engineer and staking will begin within 30 days. Construction is pending approval and crews expect to advance about five miles daily once begun, doubling service and adding 1200 customers by 1934.
