Park Rides Say Ducks Killed By Kids
Directors of the Mead Park Association met last night and heard disquieting news about the park ducks. Two recent duckling groups lost all but two of each group to stones thrown by children. Parents are urged to be held responsible for damage to the attraction drawing visitors from Olean. A vandalized floating miniature houseboat that housed the ducks will be removed from the water. The board also plans no parking signs on Memory Lane and hopes to complete the museum by fall, with Mead Glen paint work and new playground equipment slated for autumn.
