Narrow Escape In Auto Truck Crash Near Corry
Charles J H Raeke owner of the North Center street confectionery and restaurant had a narrow escape when his sedan sideswiped a heavy truck on the Roosevelt highway two miles west of Corry. Raeke suffered facial cuts and bruises but escaped serious injury. The truck, owned by Butcher of Akron Ohio, carried tires and was en route east. Raeke was taken home for treatment. Police noted Raeke may have drifted onto the wrong side of the road. Labor Day plans by the Veterans of Foreign Wars are forming with a parade and all day program in City Park.

H J Querreveld aged 82 a longtime Clymer resident dies after injuries from a runaway horse accident at Clymer Tuesday morning. He was hurled from the carriage striking a milk stand and suffering a skull fracture. Survived by five sons Albert and Garret among them who accompanied him to the hospital. Body sent to Clymer for burial preparations.

Dunkirk Men Make Corry a Flying Visit
Seventy business and professional men from Dunkirk arrived in Corry today during a two way swing through northwestern Pennsylvania and southwestern New York. The motor caravan continued to Warren and Kane after a brief stop in Corry. Maydr T Magland along with City Council greeted the visitors at City Park and an orchestra provided numbers as Mayor Bagden praised both cities. Louis Monone spoke for the Dunkirk delegation.
