Weather delays second leg of city Labor Day plans as committees of the Corry Credit Exchange set an all day program in City Park. A big ex-racist event heads the day with booths, free refreshments, and a possible old soldiers contest. Coleman Band to perform. carnival, street dance, and Veterans of Foreign Wars dance planned. prizes for athletic events. publicity spread to surrounding towns. Mrs. C. B. Kinney of Emporium visited, then traveled to Youngsville.

Hundreds of Indians Dead From Influenza Across Regions

United Press reports a severe influenza outbreak among Northwest Coast and Yukon tribes. At Port Simpson five Indians died and over twenty others are listed dead elsewhere including Resolution, Wort Tae, Work Norman, Fort Goodhope, and Fou McPherson. The illness terrifies natives as medical missionaries are repulsed. few White deaths are noted.

Sugar plane crash kills operator off Key West

An official Pan American report says Ageton, operator of Believe Big Sugar, died in a Gulf of Mexico crash after a forced landing near Key West while four other crew members and a passenger were rescued. The wrecked plane could not be reached due to high seas and is presumed to have sunk with Ageton aboard.
