Erie moves to test its weed ordinance in court after two residents were cited for violations. Lawyer Will J. Schaaf representing J Robert Baldwin asks for a one week delay to prepare a brief while George Harris, owner of Harris Homes Inc, fails to appear. The suit contends the ordinance is invalid and beyond city authority, claiming weed growth is not a nuisance or health risk and that the law defining weeds is too broad.
