Democrats Likely to Retain Senate Control in 1950s Vote
Fragmented campaign analysis shows Democrats with 15 contests secure, six in doubt. Republicans face 20 seats up, with seven truly contestable. If Democrats hold nine or more of the doubtful seats, Senate remains Democratic. Republicans would need ten wins to seize control. Committee chairmanship implications loom as party balance shifts across Appropriations, Foreign Relations, Finance, and other key panels.
