Erie County commissioners face labor grievance from union
The county employes union accuses Erie County officials of unfair labor practices by extending workers' hours without pay and giving salary hikes without union negotiation. Nine employees allegedly had longer days with no pay increase, while seven received raises of 600 to 1000 dollars without union consent. County Commissioner Louis Rzymek blamed extended hours on maintenance staff and said the raises would be addressed by the Salary Board after he says he voted against some raises.
