Horanic May Lose Park Job in Erie Showdown

ERIE The possible firing of Peninsula superintendent Frank Horanic hinges on a personal inquiry by Dr Maurice Goddard State Secretary of Forests and Waters, to be conducted the week of August 21. Goddard says if Horanic is not the right man he will be removed and notes a dispute with the State Park and Harbor Commission while confirming political interference is not involved. The Commission had ordered Harold Green and Charles W Kubela reinstated after hearings, a decision Horanic opposed, prompting tension with Chief Carl Rosanski and ongoing efforts to place police.
