Gowanda August 44 William Hardenburg a veterinarian engineer attempted suicide by slashing his throat with a razor. He inflicted a deep gash and bled until found by bystanders. Attended by Dr Herman W Johnston he was moved to the state hospital union on emergency certificate. Hardenburg, formerly of the New York Central, was about to reach middle age and had a pin between New York and Buffalo.
