Leon A. Johnson died suddenly at his home on R. D. 2 near West Spring Creek after a long illness. He was born April 15, 1919 in Picidilli Hill and graduated from Corry High School in 1938. He served in the Military Police unit at Fort Meade and Camp Campbell from 1942 to 1948. He was a member of the American Legion and is survived by his wife Marian, three children, parents Andrew and (name unreadable) Johnson, a brother Lyle, three sisters, and other relatives. The body rests at his parents home. prayer is Sunday at 1:45 p.m. with funeral at West Spring Creek Church at 2:30 followed by burial in West Spring Creek Cemetery.
