HOISE Idaho Aug 1 Just about everybody but Sen Glen H Taylor conceded today that Taylor had lost his bid for re nomination for Idaho six year Senate term The one time cowboy who ran No 3 with Henry Wallace on the 1848 Progressive party ballot trailed his opponent former Senator Dr Worth Clark by a thousand plus votes With 816 of 829 precincts reported unofficial totals stood 26786 for Clark 25030 for Taylor and 14544 for the third man Rep Compton The remaining precincts were spavilled and not expected to give Taylor a chance to catch up The Clarke lead was conceded yesterday by Clark’s side as well

Erie Veterans Hospital appoints Robert Dough as assistant manager
Robert Dough of Pittsburgh, rated among the top VA staff, was named assistant manager of the new Erie Veterans Administration Hospital. He will assist Dr. H. S. Collis of Cleveland, the director and chief of professional services, and Mr. Pugh. Dough, a former Charleroi High School graduate, earned night classes at the University of Pittsburgh, served in the Army from 1941, and rose to captain before leaving in 1945. He is married with White children and will arrive in Erie within two weeks.
