Burglary Tools Recovered by State Police at Union City Co op

Vo Tech Bills Continue To Soar In Corry District

The Corry Area School District continues unveiling the cost of the new vocational-technical facility. At the August board meeting a renovation bid for the former Elgin Laboratories building was awarded to Whipple Allen Construction Co of Erie for 58000, with other bids at 84000 and 71489. The board also approved paying David Johnson Associates 12712 for consulting services already rendered after a half hour executive session.

Board OKs Sabbaticals for Corry School District

The Corry Area School District board approved two sabbatical requests. LeRoy Rieck seeks a full year off to pursue a PhD at Penn State, with waiver of return to Corry after the sabbatical. Kim Thompson, a teacher, will take a year sabbatical at no district cost to work in local industry and avoid the go tech proficiency test.
