Security officer Shirley Yarathh said the transfer ran from 8 30 am to 2 pm with further relocation until about 9 30 pm. Boxes weighed up to 800 pounds with one triple that, and the move does not indicate closing the old building. Officer Fred Corbett was stationed on a rooftop with a rifle as an extra precaution.

Will Resign Addresses Nation Tonight At 9
President Nixon faces possible criminal prosecution if he resigns or is removed from office. Congress or special Watergate prosecutor Leon Jaworski could seek to save Nixon from trial, or Ford could succeed to the presidency and avoid charges. Self pardons are deemed remote. Legal experts note a president cannot be indicted in office. Nixon was named an unindicted co conspirator in the Watergate cover-up. Nixon admitted halting the investigation for political reasons. Some lawmakers see this as obstruction of justice, a crime with penalties up to five years and a $5,000 fine. Options include a deal with Jaworski to resign in exchange for charges being dropped, though grand jury decisions are not bound. Atty. Gen. Saxbe denies ongoing plea talks. Nixon's counsel declines comment. Senator Brooke seeks a congressional resolution signaling that Nixon should not be pursued if he resigns.
