Baby Drowns In Lake At Celoron
Two year old Bruce Rounds, son of Mr and Mrs William Rounds of 32 Venice Street Celoron, drowned in four feet of water in Chautauqua Lake yesterday afternoon. Coroner Samuel F Boyers issued a death certificate as accidental drowning. The child, missing briefly, was found by an unidentified boy near Ratewater Street dock a short distance from Ils Domne. Mrs Emma Myers of Celoron jumped in to recover the body. Fire Department and inhalator unit assisted but Dr Joby Kinney Rexgen pronounced him dead after 30 minutes of resuscitation. Born April 14 1949, the child’s paternal side listed as Mr and Mrs Zine Rounds of Celoron.
