British flyers Leonard Reid and J R Ayling departed Wasaga Beach in the Trail of the Days plane aiming to set a 6000 mile non stop distance record to Baghdad Iraq. They carried 600 gallons of fuel and expected about 50 hours of flight weather along the North Atlantic favored the attempt.
Work on the Myrtle to Sedeca street sewer extension progresses with the intake trap at Seneca Street near completion. The concrete reinforced intake measures 42 inches inside clearance and about eight feet deep, with total project cost projected between 8000 and 9000 dollars.

Secret service agents and local officers patrolled President Roosevelts route into Rochester as 50 pounds of stolen dynamite, hidden from a powderhouse at Rochester State Asylum, prompted fears a maniac or radical might threaten the trip. Officials investigated without finding missing inmates, while the plan to sail down the Mississippi was canceled due to low water. Roosevelt will stay in Rochester to Lake Wily and Winona before heading to Green Bay.
James H. Wright of Corry files a county court suit seeking 919,260 from the Corry School District alleging nonpayment on land sold in 1943. He claims 12,000 remains principal plus 6,060 interest, with additional sums for attorney fees, after partial payments of 1,000 and 1,700 and 1,650 in prior years.
