Fingerprint link to Dana kin in Miss Merrill case

Natchez dispatch reports tentative identification of Richard Dana as the fingerprint match found in rooms of Glenn Burne’s Morrill estate where 72 year old Jane Sargent Merrill was slain. The eccentric nephew of Charles A. Dana, called the wild man, is a 61 year old pianist with a bearded appearance. Goats owned by Octavia Dockery’s household figure in the feud behind the crime, and various social figures of the old South loom in neighborhood gossip. Unclear details, but investigators pursue the link as they examine the estate and the history surrounding Miss Merrill’s death.
