Zeppelin Over Atlantic on World Flight Heads Home
Graf Zeppelin set course eastward toward Lakehurst after a transatlantic leg of the worldflight arc, while at Boston the craft’s position from radio compass readings placed it about 140 miles east of Lakehurst. Reports note strong signals weakening as it moved, with the voyage framed as a historic display of airship feasibility and a tribute to early aviation milestones.
