Accidentally Shot by Companion in Hornell
In Hornell New York on August 6 a 12 year old Ernest Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Benson, was severely injured in a shooting accident near his home. Theodore Conners, 18, found a gun hidden at a man’s residence and, while handling it, discharged it. Benson was struck in the leg and torn severely. Conners carried him as far as he could before help arrived. Benson remained very weak from the wound as authorities investigated.
