Three Erie Housewives Charged In Lottery Operation
Erie police and state officers raided yesterday and charged three housewives Marion De Santis Alexandria Marucci and Emma Gardner with trafficking in lotteries and running a gambling house. Police seized numbers slips and gambling gear. all pleaded not guilty and posted $500 bail each. Preliminary hearing to be set by Alderman Rossiter Jr. Lupo said two detectives and two troopers led the raid.

Dunkirk Bookmakers Raid Nets Three Arrests
Dunkirk police and New York state troopers raided a Dunkirk residence last night arresting Chester Skubis Dana Hunt and Bernard Krystofiak on bookmaking charges. Skubis faced two counts of promoting bookmaking and one of possession of records while Hunt and Krystofiak each held a single record possession charge. Arraignments were set for this morning in Dunkirk City Court as officers recovered records and about $3000 in cash.

The Pennsylvania Mill Commission will release a new marketing order for Erie County on Monday after a public hearing July 17.
