Harrisburg AP reports about 45000 students set to receive state scholarship notices within two weeks though the $51.4 million appropriation is not yet in place. PHEAA will mail notices based on a concurrent resolution of intent to appropriate funds, with two measures to fit the amount: automatic denial for families with income over $14,999 if multiple children attend college, and a cap at tuition and fees or 800 dollars, whichever is less. Last year awards could cover room and board if tuition fell below the $800 cap.
